Today, PICNIC 08 kicked off.
PICNIC is three days packed with sessions on technology, media, entertainment, art and science, labs and specials at the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. And for everyone who couldn't be there (including me), they created a constantly updated webpage with reports from ... those who could.

Apart from a live video stream, they created a webpage that consolidates all posts from around different social media like Twitter (text), Flickr (photos), YouTube (video) and Vimeo (video) in one large 'life stream'. How they do it? First they ask all people to tag their posts on PICNIC on eg. Twitter with a 'picnic08' tag. Then, they scan the social networks for that tag and show the results on a page. As simple as that but oh so effective.

Be sure to check it out!
