In a nice co-branding show-off, Saab and Sony Ericsson at the Paris Motor Show announced a collaboration between their two top-level products: the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 smartphone and the SAAB 9-X Air concept car.
The idea is that you would be able to control a number of your car's features from your mobile phone, such as:
- Lock/Unlock the doors
- Control interior lighting
- Control headlights/blinkers
- Open the trunk
- Control front/rear seat settings
Although the Saab 9-X Air is just a concept car at this point (meaning a prototype that's not for sale), it clearly shows the wireless bluetooth technology is becoming more and more important and offers a whole new range of possibilities besides just for hands-free calling...

P.S. This is one hell of a cool looking car
